Jesse McCartney

Jesse Arthur McCartney (born April 9, 1987) is an American pop singer and actor. Starting out at age 12 in the boyband Dream Street from 1999-2002, McCartney decided to go solo after the platinum recording band decided to split.
In 2003, McCartney released a first solo EP JMac which had moderate success in the US.
His follow up was the album Beautiful Soul released in 2004, which went 2x platinum in the US alone. Next up was a live CD from his Beautiful Soul Tour in 2005 and his sophomore album Right Where You Want Me in 2006, for which he co-wrote the majority of the songs. His third studio album, titled Departure, features the hit single Leavin’. The highly anticipated album is scheduled for release on May 20th in most regions.

In addition to his music career, McCartney took up acting in the WB original series Summerland which lasted 2 seasons. McCartney’s follow up in the acting world comes with the theatrical release of the anticipated film Keith in late 2007.
